Girls Night In

Every October is as most of you probably know the month we collect money for and and devote some time to Womens' Cancer.
I come from a family of all girls, except for my own family, and two of those girls have had to deal with a type of womens' cancer. So in an effort to contribute something to research and finding a cure for this horrible disease I along with a bunch of other women around the country hold a girls night in. Its something I've been doing for a while and this year was my 5th.
I decided that a girls night in is nice and everything but if the boys came we may have a chance at making more in donations and it would also mean those single mums i know dont have to worry about childcare etc. So this year I invited everyone. Girls, guys and kids. We had a BBQ and a couple of raffles and also some silent auctions. All up we managed to raise around $500, and had a lovely night doing it!
Here are some pics of the evening.
Chatting with the girls

Now where's that fire hydrant we had?

  2. Looks like a great party for a great cause. I also enjoyed the green around you as here in my neck of the woods fall deepens and the leaves are all on the ground.
