Solar power at last!





I have been a bit busy over Christmas and New Year but now I have heaps to write about.

Just a couple of weeks before Christmas we finally got our solar panels on !!!! Hooray all 14 of them. They are all hooked up and now our metre is running backwards on most days so already they are paying for themselves. Prior to putting them up, the metre had been running forward, often at a rate of notts and the metre had read 31884kWh but now as you can see in reads 31394kWh. Very cool when you're the bill payer in the house hold.


We needed a seperate isolator to be installed as the one inside the house is all full up.


The large grey box on the left is the inverter which according to Wikipedia:is a type of electrical inverter that is made to change the direct current (DC) electricity from a  photovoltaic array into alternating current (ACfor use with home appliances and possibly a utility grid. ) Thank you very much Wikipedia.



This is how much energy we had made today at 3.30
